Privacy Policy
Effective November 3, 2026
1. Who We Are
LaunderPay is laundry point-of-sale software for laundromats and dry cleaners. It is operated by LaunderPay LLC, 232 S 1st Street, Brooklyn, NY 11211 ("LaunderPay," "we," "us"). This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
2. Who This Policy Covers
- Visitors to launderpay.com and our store websites (such as sudsycorner.launderpay.com).
- Merchants: laundromat and dry cleaning owners, managers, employees, and drivers who use LaunderPay.
- Merchants' customers: people who place orders with a store that uses LaunderPay. We handle this information on the store's behalf. The store decides how it uses its customer information, so questions about a store's own practices are best sent to that store.
3. Information We Collect
Information you give us. When you book a demo, we collect your name, store name, phone number, email, and current POS. When a Merchant signs up, we collect business and account details, such as business name, address, owner and employee names, logins, and payout details.
Information Merchants enter or receive through LaunderPay. This includes customer names, phone numbers, emails, pickup and delivery addresses, order details (items, weights, preferences, notes), order photos taken for pickup and delivery, and chat messages between a store and its customers.
Payment information. Card payments are processed by our payment partners (such as Stripe, Finix, and Paystri). We do not store full card numbers. We may receive limited details like the card brand, the last four digits, and the payment result.
Location information. Store and customer addresses are used to plan pickups and deliveries. When a driver uses the Driver App, the device's location may be used for navigation and route planning.
Device and usage information. Like most websites and apps, we collect basic technical information, such as IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, and app activity logs. We use it to keep the service secure and working well.
4. How We Use Information
- To provide LaunderPay: orders, payments, receipts, bag tags, pickup and delivery, online ordering, store websites, and reports.
- To send order updates and messages on a Merchant's behalf, such as order confirmations and "ready for pickup" texts.
- To answer demo requests, provide support, and send service and account notices.
- To prevent fraud, keep accounts secure, and meet legal obligations.
- To improve LaunderPay and fix problems.
We do not sell personal information.
5. Text Messages
Stores that use LaunderPay can send customers text messages about their orders, and, where the customer has agreed, marketing messages. Messages are sent through our messaging provider, Twilio. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to stop receiving texts or HELP for help.
We do not share or sell mobile phone numbers or text messaging consent with third parties for their own marketing.
6. How We Share Information
We share information only as needed to run LaunderPay:
- With the store a customer orders from, so the store can complete the order.
- With service providers that work for us, such as hosting and security (DigitalOcean, Cloudflare, Netlify), payments (Stripe, Finix, Paystri), messaging (Twilio), email delivery, and maps. They may use the information only to provide their services to us.
- With Uber, when a store books an Uber delivery. We share the pickup and drop-off names, addresses, and phone numbers needed for the trip.
- With LaundryMatch, our laundry marketplace, for stores that take orders through it.
- For legal reasons, when required by law or to protect the rights and safety of our users, the public, or LaunderPay.
- In a business transfer, such as a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets. Information may be transferred as part of that deal, and this policy will continue to apply to it.
7. Cookies and Embedded Content
Our website uses only the cookies and similar technologies it needs to work. Some pages load fonts from Google and how-to videos from YouTube, which may receive basic technical information such as your IP address. We play YouTube videos in its privacy-enhanced mode. If we add analytics later, we will update this policy.
8. How Long We Keep Information
We keep information for as long as a Merchant's account is active and as needed to provide the service, keep required business and tax records, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When it is no longer needed, we delete it or make it anonymous.
9. How We Protect Information
We use industry-standard safeguards, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), access controls, and trusted payment processors that are certified to handle card data. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information and fix issues quickly.
10. Your Choices and Rights
You can ask us to access, correct, or delete your personal information by emailing info@launderpay.com. If you are a customer of a store, we may send your request to that store, since it controls its customer records. Depending on where you live, such as California, you may have additional rights under state law, and we will not treat you differently for using them.
11. Children
LaunderPay is a business tool and is not meant for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from them.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. If we make important changes, we will post the new version here with a new effective date and, where appropriate, let Merchants know.
